Item Current state and prospects of animal husbandry development in Ukraine(2023) Rossokha, Volodymyr; Nechyporenko, Oleksandr; Cheremisina, Svitlana; Mazurenko, Olena; Petrychenko, OleksandrThe article is devoted to current problems that arose in the field of animal husbandry due to Russian military aggression, temporary occupation of part of the territory, and active combat actions in Ukraine. The purpose of the article is to monitor the production and consumption of animal products, calculate losses of livestock and production of animal industries due to Russian aggression, and forecast parameters of their reproduction to achieve pre-war consumption and further development in the conditions of war. In the course of the research were used the information base of the State Statistics Service, estimated indicators of the State Budget of Ukraine for 2023, information and analytical materials of the National Research Center Institute of Agrarian Economics on indicators of production of livestock products, and justification of investment projects for the creation of mini-farms. The following methodological tools were used in the research process: methods of statistical comparisons, namely, comparison of indicators, absolute and relative comparisons of changes in the value of a sign in relation to the base indicator; factor analysis - to determine the factors influencing the reproduction of livestock products to the pre-war level; functional analysis - to determine the dependence of production on livestock and animal productivity; balance method - for forming the balance of animal husbandry products; and calculation-constructive method - to determine the amount of investments for the restoration of livestock industries for production to the level of the pre-war period. To determine the fund and the level of consumption of livestock products per person of the population, balance sheets were drawn up. It was established that the norms of consumption of livestock products are met only for poultry meat. The actual level of meat consumption in Ukraine is only 62.3% of the norm, including beef - 25.7%, pork - 71.1%. The forecast of production of livestock products was made based on the calculation of livestock losses and animal productivity in the territories temporarily occupied and affected by Russian aggression. According to our calculations, in 2022, the gross output of the studied branches of animal husbandry decreased compared to 2021 by 12.6%, or by EUR 227.5 million (from EUR 1.8 to 1.57 billion). Actual losses amount to EUR 477.5 million. In order to reach the pre-war level of consumption of livestock products, it is necessary to increase production of beef by 14.7%, pork by 5.8%, and milk by 8.5%. The number of investments to compensate for losses in the reproduction of meat and dairy cattle breeding and pig breeding industries is forecasted to be EUR 790 - 875 million, including meat and livestock sector - EUR 480 million, dairy farming - EUR 357 million, pig farming - EUR 37.5 million. The main influencing factors on the further development of animal husbandry have been established. The further development of the livestock industry will depend on the manifestation of the following factors: missile attacks by the Russian occupiers of Ukrainian territory, especially energy supply systems, and the ability of the armed forces of Ukraine to "close the sky"; demining the territory, restoring the logistics of commodity flows and exportimport operations; provision of state support for the reproduction of destroyed and damaged productions of livestock products; the purchasing power of the population of Ukraine for products of animal origin; and the level of migration activity of the population in the country.Item Monitoring and evaluation of the efficiency of rural development of the united territorial communities of the Vinnytsia region(2023) Cheremisina, Svitlana; Rossokha, Volodymyr; Tomashuk, IvanBalanced development and interaction of types of economic activity form the economic potential of the region and help fill budgets. Improvement of the methodology of diagnostics of the economy of rural development taking into account natural, economic, demographic, social and recreational features is urgent. The purpose of the study was to improve and develop a methodological toolkit for assessing the effectiveness of rural development on the example of united territorial communities of the Vinnytsia region. A number of methods were used in the research process: abstract-logical, comparative analysis, tabular, statistical, calculation-constructive. According to key economic parameters, such as the pace of the Supreme Council of Justice and the volume of production per person, the Vinnytsia region is marked by a relative trend of anticipatory regional development, and the agriculture of the region in 2017-2021 retains priority positions in the structure of the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine. Analytical monitoring of the positive dynamics of the majority of economic indicators of rural development of the united territorial communities of the Vinnytsia region contributed to the growth of the partial index of the economic component. During 2017-2021, this aggregate indicator increased from 411 to 427 points, or almost 4%. It was established that the partial index of social efficiency of rural development of the united territorial communities of the region decreased by 2.4% (from 107.4 in 2017 to 104.8 points in 2021). The highest value of the index of social efficiency of rural development of united territorial communities was reached in 2017 (107.4), and the lowest in 2020 – 104.0. Calculation partial index environmental efficiency of rural development established a growth of 7.3% (from 17.2 in 2017 to 18.5 in 2021). The calculation and analytical measurement of the aggregate integral indicator of the effectiveness of rural development of the united territorial communities revealed a slight growth trend – from 91.2 in 2017 to 93.9 points in 2021, which does not exceed 3%. The practical significance of the conducted research is determined by the improvement of the toolkit and the development of a methodical algorithm for determining the integral indicator of the effectiveness of rural development of united territorial communities, which can be useful in the regional management practice of organizing monitoring and developing directions for the development of rural areas.Item Transformation of solvent demand and food consumption in Ukraine in war conditions(2024) Cheremisina, Svitlana; Rossokha, Volodymyr; Mohylova, Maryna; Romanchenko, NataliaThe article is devoted to the assessment of the state and peculiarities of the formation of the solvent demand for food products in Ukraine during the war and the determination of the optimal amount of wages to ensure the consumption of the main set of food products at the level of rational standards. A comprehensive analysis of structural changes in the solvent demand for food consumption in Ukraine in the war was carried out using the monographic method. Determination of actual and aggregate costs at the level of rational standards for food products was carried out using the calculation-constructive method. The comparison of actual and necessary costs at the level of rational norms for nutrition was carried out on the basis of collected statistical and calculated data by the method of comparative analysis. It is recognized that the war has negative consequences in the nutrition o f Ukrainians. During the first year o f the war, the price affordability o f food products decreased by 26.6% on average. In 2010-2022, the share o f population spending on food remains very significant (from 51.6% in 2010 to 57.8% in 2022). In 2023, this indicator is expected to grow to 58.5%. It has been proven that in order to consume basic food products in accordance with rational norms, the population o f Ukraine had to spend 1.56 times more in 2021 than the actual expenses. To achieve the level of consumption in accordance with rational standards in 2022, an additional 23,478 UAH per year, or 1,957 UAH per month, is needed. The forecast for 2023 predicts a deterioration o f the ratio of actual food costs to costs under rational standards to 1.68. It was determined that in 2021 the wage level should be at least UAH 33,944 (EUR 1,131) per person per month, which is 2.41 times higher than the actual wage level in the country. The war worsened this ratio to 2.6. It was established that in 2023, for food at the level o f rational consumption standards, a Ukrainian should earn 38,564 UAH (964 EUR per month), which is 2.9 times higher than the actual wage level (13,423 UAH or 335 EUR). The novelty of the study consists in the development and practical testing of the methodology for determining the optimal wage of Ukrainians to ensure the consumption of the main set of food products at the level of rational standards.
