Abstract
Своєрідність творчого завдання "Фауста" багато в чому визначається особливим положенням філософії в симбіозі всіх видів духовної діяльності на рубежі 18-19 ст. у Німеччині. Завдяки "коперніканському перевороту" І. Канта реальний світ набув несподіваної глибини і смислової невичерпності. Пристрасть до "трансцендіювання" — мандрів думки за межі емпіричної видимості — охопила поетів. Була відкрита не знана досі об’ємність світу за рахунок світу суб’єктивного, яка стала предметом поетичного захвату.
The article deals with a history of creation of the "Faust", mainly from the point of view of embodiment of the mystery idea in it. The heuristic impulses and his aestheticphilosophical background Goethe found in the doctrine of Kant, the theory of the evolution by Herder and in the philosophy of identity by Schelling. The history of the mysterious pilgrimage of the human soul is exposed as the way to recognition of the "basic phenomenas" and the penetration into the core of the phenomena.
