Abstract
The article deals with the philosophical notion of cognition as cognition in
the process of education. When studying a subject students cognize not only
the subject but reality through the subject as well. Cognition is an active
creative process. Fallacy is considered as important as truth. Without fallacy
it would be impossible to turn ignorance into knowledge. Such processes as
communication, creativity, and tolerance are essential for cognition as they
make the process of cognition effective. The problem of logical thinking and
intuition was always disputable. The article gives advantage to intuition,
although only with interaction of both logical thinking and intuition the
process of cognition is possible.
