Abstract
This paper is about comparative cross-regional studies on the reflections of
political history of Ukraine in the memory of inhabitants of two principal
historical regions of Ukraine — Halychyna and Donbas. Methodology of focusgroup
discussions had been used by the work with respondents as representatives
of three generations of L'viv and Donets'k dwellers. Results of this
investigation show inter-regional as well as inter-generation similarities and
differences in respondents' attitudes toward certain events and processes of
Ukraine's history.
