Abstract
Недавно Річард Рорті, видатний американський філософ прагматичного спрямування, висловився про постмодернізм так: “Сьогодні ніхто не має уявлення, що таке постмодернізм. Було б добре його позбутись. В жодному випадку це не ідея. Це слово, яке претендує на ідею”1. Є в цій ремарці доля правди, але і тільки, бо нинішню культурологічну ситуацію важко окреслити семантично відповідним терміном.
The author researches the problems of postmodern time: its philosophical terminology chronological borders, its place in the system of cultural phenomena. The view upon postmodernism as a post/ante modo phenomenon is clarified. The author shows the parallels between postmodernism which is ignorant to society’s system and previous vanguard having come out against the social status-quo. Quite a long “life” for this artistic method is predicted regarding to the concept that the replacement of its ideological basis by the authoritarian regime is not to happen.
