The study aimed to identify the prevalence of ASD among Ukrainian refugees and identify its risk factors to create a profile of the most vulnerable refugees. Methods: This cross-sectional study of 637 Ukrainian war-displaced persons and refugees in 2022 used the Acute Stress Disorder Scale. Results: The prevalence of ASD among participants was high (93.5%). Several factors increasing the risk of developing ASD in the sample were identified, e.g., witnessing Russian attacks (OR 2.92, 95% CI 1.26–6.78), insufficient financial resources (OR 3.56, 95% CI 1.61–7.91), and feeling of loneliness in the host country (OR 3.07, 95% CI 1.58–8.69). Pre-existing depression and the death of a close person, among others, were found to significantly (p < 0.05) exacerbate the ASD symptoms. At the same time, neither age, the distance traveled, time spent on fleeing the country, nor the type of companionship during refuge (escaping alone, with children, pets or the older adults) correlate with the severity of symptoms. Conclusion: The study shows extreme levels of trauma among Ukrainian war refugees and displaced persons. Knowledge regarding ASD vulnerabilities in the present conflict may facilitate prompt and adequate psychological help. Since ASD can be an antecedent of PTSD and several autoimmune disorders, these results may also serve as a predictor of future challenges for Ukrainian society.Item Alignment of the Ukrainian tax system with distributive justice(Національний університет "Києво-Могилянська академія", 2024) Sparish, Alisa,; Walton, PeterMaterials of the report of the participants of the International scientific and practical conference of students, postgraduates and young scientists "Актуальні питання фінансової політики України задля забезпечення фінансової стабільності", Kyiv, February 22, 2024.Item Analysis of optimal liability structure for corruption(2018) Shkurykhin, AndriiState corruption is present in any of the current public governance systems and in both developed and emerging economies. The drawbacks of corruption, leading to non-optimal resource allocation and shifts in economic decisions, are extensively studied, and various anti-corruption measures have been proposed by scholars, governments and international development institutions . Designing an efficient policy is impossible without outlining the structure of liability for corruption wrongdoings. The economy of crime provides some valuable insight, which, combined with more traditional policymaking models, is useful to answer the question of the optimal liability regime for corruption.Item Analysis of Pizzeria's Business Processes with aGPSS(2021) Lehka, Karyna; Oyin, E.Proceedings of the International scientific-practical conference of students, postgraduates and young scientists "Current issues of financial system development in the information economy", Kyiv, February 3, 2021.Item Analysis of the US monetary policy during the post-COVID crisis and the Russian-Ukrainian war(2023) Pryshchepa, Anastasiia; Giulia, VerdatProceeding of 6th Annual International Research Conference "Modelling and implementation of the financial policy of Ukraine to ensure macroeconomic stability", December 22, 2023, Kyiv, Ukraine.Item Analyzing Monetary Policy of Central Banks through Limited Dependent Variable Model(2021) Orlovska, OleksandraProceedings of the International scientific-practical conference of students, postgraduates and young scientists "Current issues of financial system development in the information economy", Kyiv, February 3, 2021.Item Application of International Political Sanctions as a Means of Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction(2023) Yastrubetskyi, Vladyslav; Shvets, Kateryna; Hutsalo, Liudmyla; Novoskoltseva, Liudmyla; Isakova, OlenaModern challenges and dangers caused by the emergence of significant transnational phenomena and processes have intensified the development of such a direction of international organized crime and the greatest threat to international security as using weapons of mass destruction. The issue of using weapons of mass destruction has become especially acute and topical in the conditions of the full-scale war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. It is confirmed by the aggressor country’s repeated threats about its application’s intentions. This requires an in-depth study of countermeasures, which can be implemented in the form of international political sanctions. The purpose of the academic paper is to study the theoretical and applied principles and possibilities of using international political sanctions as a countermeasure against using weapons of mass destruction. The methodological basis of the research is based on applying general scientific and special methods of economic analysis and scientific knowledge, in particular: system analysis, synthesis, classification, scientific abstraction, statistical analysis, comparison, analogies, graphical, tabular, generalization and systematization. Based on the research results, it was established that applying international political sanctions is an effective and efficient tool for countering the use of weapons of mass destruction. The threat of using weapons of mass destruction has increased. This is proven by an active armed conflict on the European continent, during which threats to use weapons of mass destruction are repeatedly voiced. The largest numbers of weapons of mass destruction were found in the USA and Russia; the risks of their use cause an increase in the amount of funding for countermeasures, the total amount of which in 2022 in the USA reached 427,461 thousand US dollars. The necessity is substantiated, and the application of personal, financial, trade, diplomatic sanctions against the energy sector in order to counter using weapons of mass destruction is proposed.Item Application of Monte Carlo to study survivorship bias in portfolio management(Інтерсервіс, 2023) Tarnavskyi, OleksandrМатеріали доповіді учасника Міжнародної науково-практичної конференції студентів, аспірантів та молодих вчених "Стратегічні пріоритети розвитку фінансової системи України в умовах невизначеності", Київ, 22 лютого 2023 року.Item Blockchain-based wildlife data-management framework for the WWF bison rewilding project(2019) Dryga, Andrii; Tsiulin, Sergey; Valiavko, Mariia; Qing, Yang; Reinau, Kristian HegnerMass digitalization, remote sensors, and flexible database solutions encourage organizations to look closer at new technologies as an efficient management tool. In these conditions, the leveraging of blockchain and wireless tracking devices represents a field of fargoing technology development and can be used for wildlife data management. The purpose of this research is to introduce the applicable solution for the case provided by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) regarding bison population rewilding in Eastern Europe. The goal of the paper is to create a data management framework, which combines information into one multi-integrated system visible to stakeholders. The paper theoretically extends the existing MIT OPAL blockchain-based model, which was implemented for the WWF bison rewilding project, showing a solution from managerial and technical perspectives. The proposed platform is able to provide secure geospatial wildlife data, increase intention to make donations to the project and facilitate the conditions for a better tourism experience. We found that such a system can have a positive effect on the project’s cost reduction, flexibility in redirecting manpower within the region and become a useful tool for decision-makers.Item Boolean network optimization by stochastic rewiring(2024) Cherevko, ChristinaIn today’s rapidly evolving technological world, the demand for smaller yet more powerful computers is escalating at an unprecedented pace, driving a significant need for research in circuit optimizations. Indeed, one of the questions in the Model for Improvement asks "What change can we make that will result in improvement?" Ideas for change are not automatically generated by these tools, but they help analyze problems in detail, and in doing so, potential solutions may be easier to identify. In the healthcare field, a causeand- effect diagram (fishbone diagram) is a tool that assists in analyzing the root cause of a quality-related problem, such as poor performance or safety incidents. This tool allows the team to focus on the root cause of a given problem instead of the symptoms. When there is more than one root cause, the team may need to address each one with a separate fishbone diagram process.Item Communication of superoxide dismutase, catalase, reduced glutathione with antioxidant processes during human aging(2018) Kurytsia, K.; Romanenko, M.; Shapoval, I.Abstract of the XIV International scientific conference for students and PhD students,Youth and progress of biology, dedicated to the 185th anniversary from the birthday of B. In view of this, the aim of the article is to formulate recommendations for diagnosing the level of entrepreneurship development in the regions of Ukraine in the context of information support for sustainable development of territories. To achieve this goal, the article substantiates the criteria that characterize the regions of Ukraine, considering the main factors of entrepreneurship development. To generalize the primary information, the work uses the method of normalization, which made it possible to apply the method of integral assessment and determine the integral indicator of entrepreneurship development for each region. According to the results of the ranking of regions according to this criterion, the article identifies both regions with high business activity of business entities (Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa and Kharkiv) and those that need state support in the field of organization of entrepreneurial activity (Ternopil, Sumy, Rivne, Chernihiv, Kherson, Chernivtsi, and Luhansk). According to the results of the study, a high level of disproportionality of entrepreneurship development in the regions of Ukraine has been identified, which is due to the centralization of financial, material, and intellectual resources at the present stage of development of the State. In practice, the key results of the study can be the basis for the development and improvement of the strategy for the development of entrepreneurship in Ukraine at the regional level. The article also formulates the most important promising directions for studying the problems of entrepreneurship development at the regional level using methods of economic diagnostics in the context of sustainable development. Item Dropout as a Bayesian Approximation(2017) Grytsenko, О.; Karpa, S.Тези учасника Шостої всеукраїнської конференції молодих вчених з математики та фізики, Київ, 21–22 квітня 2017 рік.Item Dynamic framework for strategic forecasting of the bank consumer loan market: Evidence from Ukraine(2023) Kaminskyi, Andrii ; Versal, Nataliia ; Petrovskyi, Oleksii; Prykaziuk, NataliiaAccurate forecasting of consumer loan market behavior gives banks a huge potential to optimize their credit strategies by proactively adapting to external changes. This study aims to analyze and predict consumer loan demand, supply, and profitability in the Ukrainian banking sector. Using a systemic dynamic approach, the interplay of five key factors is considered: central bank policies, GDP fluctuations, changing competitive landscape driven by FinTech companies, investment in government bonds as an alternative to loan granting, and severity of credit risk management. The developed dynamic model for the bank consumer loan market in Ukraine offers predictive capabilities enhancing decision-making and strategic planning in the banking sector and can be adapted in open small economies. Within the proposed systemic dynamic model, five scenarios were explored. Compared to the base scenario, a 4 p.p. increase in the key policy rate results in UAH 4.7 billion decrease in demand for bank consumer loans and a UAH 0.55 billion reduction in lending profitability based on the year’s results. Fall in GDP by 6 p.p. leads to a decrease in the supply of bank consumer loans by UAH 6.9 billion and a decrease in lending income by UAH 1.3 billion based on the year’s results. Scenario with the decline of FinTech portfolio by 20 p.p. quarterly leads to an increase in demand for bank consumer loans of UAH 8 billion. A 4 p.p. rise in government bond yields leads to a UAH 17 billion reduction in the supply of consumer loans in the same quarter.Item Estimation of military casualties during wars and conflicts(2023) Hanhalo, Bohdan; Semerak, MartaProceeding of 5th Annual Research Conference "System dynamics modeling framework for the financial system", December 16, 2022, Kyiv, Ukraine.Item Excitation and emission spectra of polyvinylpyrrolidone/ZnO nanocomposites with various interfaces(2017) Rudko, Galyna; Fediv, Volodymyr; Gule, Evgen; Isaieva, Oksana; Petrova, Kh.
