Various methods have been developed for the synthesis of magnetite (Fe3O4 ) nanoparticles, allowing precise control over their size, morphology, and magnetic properties. The most widely used approach is co-precipitation, which involves the reaction of Fe²⁺ and Fe³⁺ salts in alkaline media and is valued for its simplicity and scalability. However, this method often results in broad particle size distribution and limited control over morphology.
