dc.descriptionThe article deals with the semantic micro-field "poświęcenie" as a structural part of the lexical-semantic field of "patriotyzm" in the Polish language. The aim of the article is to study the system-structural organization of the micro-field "poświęcenie". The following tasks were set to achieve this aim: to consider the views of linguists on the concept of the lexicalsemantic field; to identify the components of the semantic micro-field "poświęcenie" in Polish; to analyze its systemstructural organization; to determine the semantic relationships between elements; to find the transition zones where the semantic micro-field "poświęcenie" links up to other micro-fields in the lexical-semantic fields "patriotyzm". The object of the study is the structural-semantic organization of the micro-field "poświęcenie". It was found that the core of the semantic micro-field "poświęcenie" contains such lexemes as poświęcenie, ofiarność, ofiara, wyrzeczenie, zaparcie, samozaparcie, oddanie, wierność. These words have close semantic relations with one another and describe different types of devotion. The peripheral zone is formed by such words: bohaterstwo, danina, trybut, wytrwałość, konsekwencja, upór, gorliwość, nieustępliwość, przywiązanie, lojalność, wiara. These lexemes have semantic relations with the words from the core, but at the same time, they link up the semantic micro-field "poświęcenie" to other micro-fields. “Devotion” in Polish is associated with the concepts of courage, steadfastness, enthusiasm, and sympathy, so there are some semantic connections with the micro-fields "męstwo", "nieugiętość", "zapał", and "sympatia". A further study of the structural-semantic organization of the lexical-semantic field "patriotyzm" should consider these relations and look for other crossings between the micro-fields.en
