dc.descriptionThe article analyses the spectrum of functional characteristics in the portrayal of Beloved in Toni Morrison 's Beloved. Mythological, psychoanalytic, aesthetic and artistic aspects of the nature of this portrayal, which in unison determine the role of this portrayal in the presentation, development, and resolution of the problem of the past in the novel are highlighted. The problem of the past in Beloved is universalized, transgressing the limits of historical or even existential understanding, and becoming a feature of aesthetic observation. Playing the role of the structural centre of this polyphonic novel, Beloved represents the point of departure for numerous concretizations in a phenomenological analysis of the textual web of the book.en
dc.description.abstractУ цій статті аналізується спектр функціональних характеристик образу Улюбленої в однойменному романі Тоні Моррісон. Зокрема йдеться про міфологічний, психоаналітичний естетичний та художній аспекти природи цього образу, які в комплексі визначають його роль у представленні, реалізації та розв 'язанні проблеми минулого в романі. Адже в «Улюбленій» поняття минулого уні- версалізується, виходить за межі історичного чи навіть екзистенційного розуміння, стаючи одиницею естетичного споглядання. Відіграючи роль структурного центра романного багатоголосся, Улюблена є відправною точкою численних конкретизацій у феноменологічному аналізі текстової тканини твору.uk
