"Перестройка" як політичне поняття: еволюція, семантична нестабільність і боротьба за змістове наповнення

dc.descriptionThis article examines the functioning of the concept Perestroika in the official Soviet political discourse of 1985–1991. Drawing on the methodology of conceptual history (Begriffsgeschichte), the author traces the semantic evolution of this concept and the rhetorical functions it performed throughout six years of late-Soviet transformation. The analysis demonstrates that, in its initial stage, Perestroika referred to a general need for change, without clear programmatic specification. During 1986–1987, the concept became increasingly associated with the reformist policies of the CPSU and began to be interpreted as a symbolic continuation of the revolutionary tradition and a return to Leninist principles. By the late 1980s, its semantic field expanded further: Perestroika came to encompass not only the content of reforms, but also political loyalty to the Party, the state, and the broader Soviet project. Despite the leadership’s efforts to fix its meaning, the semantic frame of Perestroika remained unstable. The article shows how this indeterminacy enabled competing interpretations of the concept, and how the signifier Perestroika came to exhibit the characteristics of a floating signifier.en_US
dc.description.abstractУ статті досліджено функціонування поняття "перестройка" в офіційному радянському політичному дискурсі 1985–1991 років. Спираючись на методологію історії понять (Begriffsgeschichte), автор простежує семантичну еволюцію цього поняття та риторичні функції, які воно виконувало упродовж шести років пізньорадянських трансформацій. Показано, що на початковому етапі під поняттям "перестройка" розуміли загальну потребу змін без чіткої програмної конкретизації. Упродовж 1986–1987 років його дедалі тісніше пов’язували з реформаторською політикою КПРС і почали інтерпретувати як символічне продовження революційної традиції та повернення до ленінських принципів. Наприкінці 1980-х років його семантичне поле ще більше розширюється: поняття почало охоплювати не лише зміст реформ, а й політичну лояльність до партії, держави та самого радянського проєкту. Незважаючи на зусилля партійного керівництва надати поняттю "перестройка" фіксованого змісту, його семантична рамка залишалася нестабільною. У статті показано, як ця невизначеність уможливлювала різні інтерпретації поняття, а сам означник "перестройка" набув рис плинного означника (floating signifier), навколо якого точилася боротьба за смислове наповнення.uk_UA
