dc.descriptionThe Military traditions of European armies combine both especially own principles of each country and common for all of them, almost obligatory features. Systems of military ranks held a special place among military traditions. The article deals with the particular historic development of military offices and grades in the 17th cent. Ukrainian Cossack Ghost, in West Ukrainian and Dnieper Ukrainian military formations during the Liberation Struggle 1917-1920 on the background of common European functioning principles for comparable systems.en

Особливе місце серед військових традицій посідає система військових рангів. Статтю присвячено висвітленню особливостей історичного розвитку системи військових посад і рангів в українському козацькому війську XVII ст., західноукраїнських та наддніпрянських військових формуваннях доби Визвольних змагань 1917-1920 pp. на тлі загальноєвропейських принципів функціонування подібних систем.uk
