dc.description.abstractСтаттю присвячено аналізу режимів сигніфікації та їхніх соціокультурних контекстів. Досліджено роботи сучасного британського дослідника С. Леша. Історична динаміка режимів сигніфікації демонструє єдність процесів вироблення та споживання з урахуванням специфіки вироблення та споживання об’єктів культури. Перенесення наголосу з теми навколо виробництва та відповідних їй способів розподілу праці, режиму накопичення та форми капіталу (К. Маркс, Е. Дюркгейм та М. Вебер) виявляє автономність виробництва, сприйняття та інституційного функціонування об’єктів культури. Доведено, що кожен з досліджуваних елементів режиму сигніфікації має відповідну форму організації візуальних практик.uk_UA
dc.description.abstractThis article analyzes signification regimes and their socio-cultural context, with the works of contemporary British researcher S. Lash used as the theoretical basis of the study. According to Lash, sociology is a classic science of the Modern period, and it was formed in the paradigm shift of epistemology, ethics, and aesthetics. Lash stresses that social sciences have become possible only after the Romantic reaction against the Enlightenment cult of mind. It means that a particular subject field of science started to focus only on social factors beyond cultural patterns, such as nation and class. S. Lash claimed that the majority of the leading sociologists worked on those conceptual concepts that had been already legitimized by the economic science. Sociology was adequated to the realities of the industrial society and thus, for important issues of classical sociology, were circling around the topics of production and corresponding with its method of labour division, the accumulation mode, and the forms of capital (K. Marx, E. Durkheim, and M. Weber). In contrast to absolutisation of the subject-object opposition and according to its accumulation mode, S. Lash referred to the analysis mode of signification which firstly focused on the unity of the production and consumption processes; and secondly, approached production and consumption of “cultural objects.” That is why cultural studies have become an important part of human science. S. Lash claims that any cultural paradigm or “regime of signification” has two internal and interlinked elements: “cultural economy” and “the mode of signification.” Modification of one of its integral parts leads to the modification of the other and the whole paradigm itself. Lash distinguished two forms of “regimes of signification”: modern differentiation and postmodern de-differentiation. It is being proved that each of the signification regime elements has the appropriate form of visual practice organization.en_US
