dc.descriptionOur research into the conceptual evolution of hermeneutics involves the preparation of several articles. The first article begins with an analysis of the formation of hermeneutics in the ancient world, in particular as the exegesis of sacred texts, especially the Bible. In this context, we emphasize the significance of the exegetical methods employed by the ancient Jewish theologian and philosopher Philo of Alexandria. Attention is drawn to the philological, grammatical, and critical studies of the scholars of the Library of Alexandria (3rd century BC – 3rd century AD), with particular emphasis on the grammatical studies of Apollonius Dyscolus. All of these studies, in one way or another, influenced the subsequent development of European philology, grammar, and hermeneutics. It is noted that the first period of hermeneutics can be characterised as “exegesis of sacred texts”. At the same time, ancient scholars engaged in philological and critical studies of ancient literature (especially the Homeric epics), as well as the study of language and its grammatical structure. The achievements of this period retained their influence on the medieval and subsequent exegesis of the Bible and other texts. The next distinct stage in the formation of hermeneutics is the era of Romanticism. The article examines the achievements of German Romantics, who, as is well known, paid particular attention to the national roots of art, the study of national folklore, and medieval mythology and culture. This motivated the German Romantics to search for reliable hermeneutic techniques and methods for studying and translating medieval texts and ancient Germanic mythology. In this context, the hermeneutic studies of Friedrich Ast, Friedrich Schleiermacher, Friedrich Schlegel, and Friedrich Schelling are analysed, elucidating both the similarities and differences in their hermeneutic approaches. The emphasis is not on classical motifs of art interpretation in Schelling’s philosophy. Attention is drawn to the research of ancient Germanic mythology by Jacob Grimm and his hermeneutic techniques for interpreting ancient myths and legends. The dependence of Richard Wagner’s musical creativity, in particular the opera cycle “The Ring of the Nibelung”, on ancient Germanic mythological plots and heroes is emphasised; at the same time, it is noted that these plots and heroes underwent certain reinterpretations, and even revisions, from the perspective of criticism of the modern world. It can be concluded that a “philological-aesthetic hermeneutics” has formed in Romantic circles.en_US
dc.description.abstractНаше дослідження концептуальної еволюції герменевтики передбачає підготовку кількох статей. Перша стаття розпочинається з аналізу формування герменевтики в античному світі, зокрема як екзегези сакральних текстів, особливо Біблії. У цьому контексті підкреслюємо значення екзегетичних прийомів, які застосовував давньоєврейський богослов, філософ Філон Александрійський. Акцентовано увагу на філологічних, граматичних і критичних студіях учених Александрійської бібліотеки (ІІІ ст. до н. е. — ІІІ ст. н. е.), де особливе значення мали граматичні студії Аполлонія Дискола. Всі ці дослідження певним чином вплинули на подальший розвиток європейської філології, граматики і герменевтики. Зазначено, що перший період герменевтики можна позначити як "екзегетику сакральних текстів", водночас, античні вчені займаються філологічними та критичними студіями античної літератури (особливо гомерівського епосу), дослідження мови, її граматичної структури. Здобутки цього періоду зберегли свій вплив на середньовічну та подальшу екзегетику Біблії, інших текстів. Наступним, яскраво вираженим, етапом формування герменевтики є доба романтизму. У статті досліджено здобутки німецьких романтиків, які, як відомо, приділяли особливу увагу національним витокам мистецтва, вивченню національного фольклору, середньовічної міфології і культури. Саме це спонукало німецьких романтиків до пошуків надійних герменевтичних прийомів і методів дослідження та перекладів середньовічних текстів, давньої німецької міфології. У цьому контексті проаналізовано герменевтичні студії Аста, Шляєрмахера, Шлеґеля та Шеллінґа, з’ясовано як схожість, так і відмінності їхніх герменевтичних підходів. Акцентовано некласичні мотиви інтерпретації мистецтва у філософії Шеллінґа. Привернуто увагу до досліджень давньої німецької міфології Якоба Ґрімма, його герменевтичних прийомів тлумачення давніх міфів і легенд. Підкреслено залежність музичної творчості Ріхарда Ваґнера, зокрема оперного циклу "Перстень Нібелунга", від давньонімецьких міфологічних сюжетів і героїв, водночас зазначено, що ці сюжети зазнали певної інтерпретації, а то й перероблення, з позиції критики сучасного світу. Зроблено висновок, що в романтичних колах сформувалась "філологічно-естетична герменевтика".uk_UA
