This publication presents the documents from the collection of the Institute of Manuscripts of the V. Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine on the history of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy of the 18th century. By now, these documents did not find themselves in a scholarly use. The accompanying comments reveal some unknown facts and, thus, contribute to reconstructing the biographies of particular students of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. The publication begins with the document of the year 1710 – Tsar’s decree on awarding the prefect of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (KMA) Theofan Prokopovych for his sermon. In 1705–1716, he taught at the KMA several disciplines, foremost philosophy, as well as accompanied Peter the Great in the Prut campaign in 1711. In the same year, he became the rector of the KMA and was in this position since 1716, when Peter the Great took him to St. Petersburg. However, the fact that in 1710, he was the prefect (rector) of the KMA in Moscow and preached the Gospel is considered unknown. Moreover, a reward for sermons was paid to him at the order of Peter the Great. The second document of 1745 relates to Sylvester Kuliabka, the other rector of the KMA (cadence: 1740–1745). This is his memo report to Raphail Zaborovskyi, the Metropolitan of Kiev, the student of the KMA and its great benefactor, concerning the conceived book. The next document is a track record of David Nashchynskyi, the rector of the KMA (the then Archimandrite of the Peter and Paul Monastery in Glukhiv). Very important is the document number 4: the list of scribes of the Kyiv Metropolitan Consistory, drawn up not earlier than in 1769. In particular, we have a certificate of the scribe – the alumnus of KMA Kyrylo Tarlovskyi, who was later called “wild pope” for the frequent change of places on the lands of Zaporozhian Cossack Army. Tarlovskyi was famous for the fact that he crowned the Russian Queen Elizabeth with Rozumovskyi (this is a legendary message). So far, a little was known about him. The unique document of the year 1787 (No. 5) completes the publication. This is a student certificate of Fedor Panasenko, the student of KMA. Notably, V. Briukhovetskyi, the President of NaUKMA, purchased it and later presented it to the NaUKMA museum. The document was signed by the then rector Varlaam (Vlasii) Myslavskyi (cadence: 1784–1791). In addition to the characteristics of the student, his success in learning, it indicates the place of his future church job: a board of the Novhorod-Siverskyi vicariate.en_US
