dc.descriptionThe article focuses on the philosophical justification of the practice of "cancelling" art and culture in the Russian Federation, which has been ongoing since 2022. Considering the practice of "cancelling" as an important tool in the information war, the author defines it as a process of the exclusion of particular subjects and objects from the public sphere to prevent the legitimisation of unacceptable viewpoints. This practice is influenced by the relationship between an artwork and its artist, particularly with regard to the artist’s worldview and cultural context. To analyse current events, we require a deeper understanding of the dual relationship between the author and their work, and between art and the social environment in which it operates. Since the mid-twentieth century, representatives of the analytic philosophy of art have sought answers to questions concerning the role of the social organisation of art in shaping the audience’s critical perception of reality, as well as the intelligible connection between an artwork, its materiality, and its author. The author puts forward a thorough reconstruction of these relationships, drawing on the philosophical works of Arthur Danto, a prominent figure in the field of analytic philosophy of art. Drawing on Danto’s texts, the article explores the semantic connection between artwork and author, particularly through the concept of individual creative style. The study develops the thesis on the public dimension of art by examining notions of the social role of art and the responsibility of its agents. Finally, the analysis addresses the mechanisms of “cancellation” in response to social crises and puts forward arguments in favour of this practice.en_US
dc.description.abstractУ статті зосереджено увагу на питанні філософського обґрунтування практики "скасування" мистецтва та культури РФ, що відбувається від 2022 року до сьогодні. Розглядаючи практику "скасування" як важливий інструмент в інформаційній війні, автор визначає її як процес вилучення окремих суб’єктів та обʼєктів із публічного простору з метою усунення легітимації позицій, що вважають неприпустимими. У статті обґрунтовано думку про обумовленість практики "скасування" зв’язком мистецького твору з його автором — зокрема з його світоглядом і культурним контекстом. Автор з’ясовує, що аналіз актуальних подій потребує глибшого розуміння подвійного зв’язку: між автором і твором, а також між мистецтвом і соціальним простором, у якому воно функціонує. Починаючи з середини ХХ століття, саме представники аналітичної філософії мистецтва шукали відповіді на питання про роль соціальної організації мистецтва у формуванні критичного уявлення аудиторії про реальність, а також про інтелігібельний зв’язок між мистецьким твором, його предметністю та автором. Детальну реконструкцію цих зв’язків автор пропонує на основі філософських праць одного з представників аналітичної філософії мистецтва — Артура Данто. У статті на основі текстів філософа розкрито смисловий зв’язок мистецького твору з постаттю автора, зокрема через концепт індивідуального творчого стилю. Розвиваючи тезу про публічний вимір мистецтва, автор статті досліджує уявлення про соціальну роль мистецтва і відповідальність його агентів. Насамкінець проаналізовано механізми «скасування» як реакції на суспільні кризи, а також окреслено аргументи на користь цієї практики.uk_UA
