dc.description.abstractIn her paper Olga Pogynaiko investigates the characteristic features of self-translation, in which the border between translation and rewriting becomes erased. The author-translator rewrites the text according to his own idea of his future reader, and the purpose the translation should fulfill. The resulting changes are of such significance that the translation turns into a new parallel original text. The investigation demonstrates how the reader’s reception of the original text influences its literary transformation in a self-translation.en
