dc.descriptionThe article analyzes the peculiarities of the formation period of a totalitarian regime and ideological dictatorship in Soviet Ukraine during the 1920s-1930s. One of the key characteristics of this stage is the constant narrative of struggle imposed both against external enemies and on internal "fronts". This narra-tive aimed to foster a "militaristic" fervor in society, contributing to the consolidation of the foundations of totalitarianism and the gradual Sovietization of education and science. The aggressiveness of the regime, reaching its peak during the mass repressions of the "Great Terror" era, upheld and firmly established the "correct" ideological direction of development in all spheres of life, including science, education, and culture. The term "militarism" in relation to the processes characteristic of Ukraine in the 1920s-1930s reflects the state described by Thomas Hobbes as a "war of all against all’, where the line between "friends” and "foes" is manipulatively blurred. As demonstrated in the article, the Soviet-imposed ethos of "milita-rism" towards imaginary enemies, former colleagues, family, and even oneself formed the basis of intel-lectual life during the mentioned period. The peculiarities of this ethos are analyzed in the context of the policies of "militant atheism" and "militant materialism", the process of Sovietization of scientific and edu-cational institutions, and the mass purges and repressions of the late 1930s. The proposed approach to ana-lyzing the characteristics of the Ukrainian intellectual environment of the 1920s-1930s through the lens of the narrative of "militarism" contributes to a comprehensive understanding of intellectual processes, in-cluding philosophical ones, during the Soviet era.en_US
dc.description.abstractУ статті здійснено аналіз особливостей періоду становлення тоталітарного режиму та ідеологічної диктатури в радянській Україні 1920–1930-х років. Однією з ключових характеристик цього етапу є постійно навʼязуваний наратив боротьби як із зовнішнім ворогом, так і на внутрішніх "фронтах". Цей наратив спрямовувався на підтримку "войовничого" запалу в суспільстві, що сприяло зміцненню основ тоталітаризму та поступовій радянізації освіти і науки. Агресивність режиму, яка досягла свого апогею у масових репресіях доби "Великого терору", утримувала і чітко фіксувала "єдино правильний" ідеологічний вектор розвитку будь-яких сфер життя, зокрема й науки, освіти та культури. Термін "войовничість" щодо процесів, характерних для України 1920–1930-х років, відображає описаний ще Томасом Гоббсом стан "війни всіх проти всіх", де межа між "своїми" та "чужими" маніпулятивно затирається. Як показано у статті, насаджуваний радянською владою етос "войовничості" щодо уявних ворогів, колишніх колег, рідних і навіть самих себе був основою інтелектуального життя зазначеної доби. Особливості цього етосу проаналізовано в контексті політик "войовничого атеїзму" та "войовничого матеріалізму", процесу радянізації наукових і освітніх установ, масових "чисток" і репресій кінця 1930-х. Запропонований підхід до аналізу особливостей українського інтелектуального середовища 1920–1930-х років крізь призму наративу "войовничості" сприяє цілісному розумінню інтелектуальних, зокрема філософських, процесів радянської доби.uk_UA
