dc.description.abstractУ статті подано розрахунки вартості прямого використання і потенційної економічної вартості екосистемних послуг асканійського степу, основна частина якого входить до складу біосферного заповідника "Асканія-Нова". Відповідно до класифікації, встановленої в рамках проекту "Оцінка екосистем на порозі тисячоліття", було виділено чотири типи екосистемних послуг. Для екосистеми асканійського степу проведено детальний аналіз кожної з цих послуг. Доведено доцільність виокремлення товарів і послуг, які надає заповідник, та проведено монетарну оцінку вартості їх прямого використання. Обґрунтовано, що використання екосистемних послуг дасть змогу створювати умови для екологічного, економічного та соціального добробуту місцевих громад.uk_UA
dc.description.abstractThe article presents the calculations of the costs of direct use and the potential economic value of ecosystem services in the Askanian steppe, the main part of which is the part of the biosphere reserve “Askania-Nova”. In accordance with the existing classification that was established in the framework of the project “Millennium Ecosystem Assessment”, four types of ecosystem services were identified. A detailed analysis of each of these services was carried out for the ecosystem of Askanian steppe. The study proved the expediency of highlighting the goods and services provided by the reserve and the monetary valuation of the costs of their direct use. Estimating the cost of the direct use of the ecosystem services of the Askanian steppe has shown that the land that the local residents use as pasture, at the expense of the forage base, provide its revenues in the amount of UAH 4 218 115 per year. Tourist activities carried out within the framework of BR “Askania-Nova” bring UAH 4 218 115 per year to the budget. This indicates the need for an educational campaign among the community; cooperation with travel agencies; creation of new tours in different directions; provision of additional tourist services. The cost of haymaking, which is carried out within the limits of the land given under the hayfields, is estimated at UAH 2 885 877 per year. Thus, the community of the territory close to the BR “Askania-Nova” actually receives income from the land use (pasturelands and hayfields) in the amount of UAH 7 103 992 without paying for it. Revenues of “Askania-Nova” obtained from the sale of animals and plants amount to UAH 1 447 060 per year. This indicates the need for a contracting company with kennels and garden nurseries to maintain a high-quality landing material. The work proves the expediency of distinguishing goods and services which are provided by the reserve; a detailed analysis of each of the selected ones has been conducted; services and their value are calculated. Using the ecosystem services will create conditions for ecological, economic, and social well-being of local communities.en_US
