Abstract
У статті досліджено принципи поєднання модальних елементів у прозовому художньому творі. Визначено поняття модального комплексу як стабільного поєднання модальних елементів.
Description
The principles of combining of the modal elements in a prose work are explored in the article. Cooperation between the elements of axiological, deontic, alethic and epistemic modalities are considered. It is defined, that categorial affinity of the modal ellements becomes the basis of forming of the axiological-deontic and alethic-epistemic modal complexes. Modal complexes are considered as stable combinations of modal elements that are reproduced in a text regularly. Two main aspects of modal complexes are defined: their being determined by the dominants of the author’s mental sphere and regular character of their reproducing in the text. It is provided by the logical consistency of the modal elements and also by the valency of the linguistic units, which express different modal meanings.
In text fragments selection and combining of the linguistic means of the realization of modal meanings is determined by the poetics of the text: modal elements take part in the forming of the system of the characters, the plot etc. Modal structure of the text fragments is also connected with their communicative characteristics.
Logical regularities of combining of the modal elements are also defined: some modal element’s presence in the text can be determined by the modal structure of preceding context.
