dc.descriptionThis article gives a systematic description and classification of the indexes of comparative relations in the formal grammatical structure of the sentence. It is clarified that markers of comparison represented by units of word-formative, lexical, morphological, syntactical levels of the language have both: implicit and explicit forms of identification. 261 Explicitly represented types of markers are differentiated as discrete word- units and units-affixes which are connected with the other structural elements comparatives in synthetic way in the word’s structure and in analytically synthetic way in the word-combinations. Word-units belong to different morphological classes: nouns, adjectives, pronouns, verbs, adverbs, conjunctions, propositions. As markers are also defined stable word-combinations of the Ukrainian language of comparative semantics, and ones borrowed from other languages. Synthetic form of expression of the markers is represented by derivational suffixes and confixes in the structure of the word. Analytical-synthetic form of the marker is created by means of analytical relation of the adjective with lexeme in which synthetically combined morphemes are constituents of the marker and morphemes that either express the feature of comparison or a constituent of the object of comparison. Along with explicitly expressed markers of comparative relations in Ukrainian language there exists an implicit form of comparison’s identification such as one represented in the general semantics of syntactical construction, that is conjectured with the reference to its explicit meaning, expressed and perceived of the context or grammatical form of the language units. The markers of comparison are implicitly introduced by cases of noun: Instrumental, Genitive, Prepositional and Accusative, as well as by compound words of comparative meaning, adjective + noun combinations of metaphorical meaning, elliptical sentences and attributes — oppositions.en
