dc.description.abstractСтаттю присвячено досі нерозробленій в історіографії проблемі – біженцям, які осіли у Києві після масового переміщення населення із західних губерній Російської імперії у 1915 р. Для розкриття цієї теми проаналізовано матеріали перепису біженців, проведеного Київським відділенням Комітету її імператорської високості великої княжни Тетяни Миколаївни у лютому 1916 р. Вони зберігаються в Центральному державному історичному архіві України, м. Київ, і досі не отримали належного опрацювання в дослідженнях з історії біженства періоду війни. З метою ґрунтовного розкриття цієї проблематики у статті запропоновано огляд дослідницького підходу, викликів у вивченні історії біженства в Російській імперії, діяльності Київського відділення Тетянинського комітету з реєстрації біженців у місті. На основі опрацьованих карток перепису розглянуто індивідуальний зріз біженства, звернуто увагу на такі аспекти, як ідентичність, причини вигнання, досвід працевлаштування та виживання у Києві. В результаті проведеного дослідження було показано, що історію біженства "знизу" досі не написано. Матеріали ж перепису допоможуть це зробити. Вони дадуть змогу з’ясувати, що відбулося з переселенцями після того, як вони знайшли у Києві свій тимчасовий притулок. З огляду на те, що картки перепису складали в процесі опитування біженців, вони стають чи не єдиним джерелом, в якому біженці, хоч і за посередництва представників Комітету, але все ж проговорювали свою історію та ділилися своїм досвідом. З нотаток, що містять заповнені бланки, у цій статті проаналізовано лише ті аспекти, які дають змогу відповісти на запитання про самоідентифікацію, обставини виселення, робітничу зайнятість (з урахуванням ґендерного аспекту), переживання біженства як стану. Завдяки проведеному аналізу можна краще зрозуміти і повсякденне життя мешканців Києва періоду війни, адже умови проживання біженців відображали реалії життя киян відповідно до їхнього соціального статусу.uk_UA
dc.description.abstractThe article is dedicated to an under-researched problem of refugees settled in Kyiv after a mass displacement of population from the western provinces of the Russian Empire in 1915. To clarify this issue the author analyzes a refugee census conducted by Kyiv branch of the Committee of her Imperial Highness Grand Duchess Tatiana Nikolaevna in February, 1916. Housed in the Central State Historical Archives in Kyiv, these under-researched materials are highly important for the refugee studies during the Great War. The article aims to examine thoroughly a theoretical framework and challenges in studying the history of refugee in the Russian Empire, as well as refugees registration activity of the Kyiv branch of Tatyana Committee. The survey of the census registration forms reveals an individual aspect of a refugee, namely identity, reasons for displacement, employment experience and survival in Kyiv. The study finds that the history of refugee from below is still not written, yet it could be done using the census materials; moreover, the census registration forms can provide an answer to a question what happened to refugees in Kyiv. Formed during the interviewing of the refugees in 1916, the census cards thus are almost the only source that contains personal stories and experiences of refugees, although it was made through the mediation of the Committee. Among all the notes in these forms, the article deals with those aspects that allow to answer the question about self-identification, circumstances of displacement, employment (taking into account the gender aspect), personal perception of a new status. Due to the analysis we can better understand the everyday life of Kyiv residents in a wartime, since living conditions of refugees reflected the realities of life of Kyivities, according to their social status.en_US
