dc.descriptionIn the early modern period, the falsification of documents was a widespread phenomenon. The study of forgeries in Ukrainian historiography began in the nineteenth century, and to date, dozens of inauthentic or questionable acts have been identified, including princely charters, royal privileges, and hetman decrees. However, not all fabricated documents were issued in the name of rulers of sovereign or autonomous states. This article analyses privileges and orders purportedly issued from the chancery of the Princes of Ostroha prominent aristocratic family originating in Volhynia, whose influence extended across various regions of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and, after 1569, the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth. Specifically, it concerns a document dated 1431, according to which Prince Fedko Ostrozky granted land called Netreba to Prokip and Lavr of the Hryb-Hrymyatsky family. The article examines the circumstances under which the source was made known and presents arguments in support of the claim that it was forged. dc.description.abstractУ ранньомодерний період фальшування документів було поширеним явищем. Дослідження підробок в українській історіографії почалося в ХІХ столітті, і на сьогодні виявлено вже десятки неавтентичних або сумнівних актів, серед яких великокняжі грамоти, королівські привілеї, гетьманські універсали. Утім, далеко не всі сфабриковані документи видавалися від імені правителів суверенних чи автономних держав. У цій статті проаналізовано привілей, що начебто постав у канцелярії одного з перших князів Острозьких — представників відомого аристократичного роду, що походив із Волині, але поширював свій вплив на різні регіони Великого князівства Литовського, а після 1569 р. –— і Речі Посполитої. Ідеться про датований 1431 роком документ, відповідно до якого князь Федько Острозький дарував землю Нетреба Прокопові та Лаврові Грибам-Грим’яцьким. У роботі розглянуто обставини оприлюднення джерела й наведено аргументи на користь твердження про те, що воно було сфальшоване. Документ опубліковано в додатку до статті.uk_UA
