dc.description | The article deals with the main reasons of communicative deviations in the political discourse. The aim of this study is to review deviations in the speeches by the politicians. F. Bacevich developed a comprehensive typology of communicative deviations in modern linguistics. The scientist distinguishes 3 types of communicative deviations: 1) communicative deviations caused by the addresser; 2) communicative deviations caused by the addressee; 3) communicative deviations caused by the process of communication (contact). The article gives a detailed analysis of all types of deviations in the political discourse. The main idea of the article is to identify communicative deviations caused by the addresser, addressee and the communicative process in the political discourse. The success of communicative acts is determined by both the addresser and the addressee, and it depends on the creation of a shared understanding, and an agreement. Creation of simple commitments requires mutual understanding and the acceptance of a communicative act. In our view there are different «levels’ of commitments such as the commitment of the addresser, commitment of the addressee, mutual commitment, and a contract. Ineffective communication occurs when the meaning is not understood. This is usually due to different deviations in communicative acts. A complex analysis of the communicative deviations in the communicative acts by the politicians showed the presence of communicative deviations caused by the addresser, addressee and the communicative process. The article is of interest to the philologists and communicative linguistic investigators, as well as to the general public. The article is of great help to distinguish communicative deviations and avoid it in communicative acts. Keywords: communicative deviation, political discourse, addresser, addressee, communication, communicative act. | en |
