Abstract
The mechanism of parliamentary responsibility of the government is a key element of inter-power relationships under the separation of powers, especially in transition regimes. Recent development of the constitutional doctrine and practice led to the elaboration of several legislative clauses, aimed at both the accountability and stability of the government. For the sake of improvement of the efficiency of relationships between the parliament and government in Ukraine, a number of amendments, incorporating the mentioned clauses, should be made to current Ukrainian legislation.
