Abstract
Мета статті – на основі джерел висвітлити спроби створити приватні навчальні заклади в Чернігівській губернії та окреслити причини невдач щодо їх стабільного функціонування. У губернському центрі Чернігові й основних містах, навчальних центрах губернії, Новгороді-Сіверському та Ніжині упродовж 20-х рр. ХІХ ст. спостерігаємо кілька спроб створити навчальні заклади. Усі вони виявлялися невдалими і недовготривалими. Основними причинами освітніх невдач була наявність осередків жіночої освіти в сусідніх губернських центрах, а передусім відсутність істотної потреби в такій формі освіти.
Description
The purpose of this article, on the basis of sources, is to highlight the attempts to create private educational institutions in the Chernihiv gubernia and outline reasons for failures in their stable functioning. In the provincial center of Chernihiv and the main cities of the educational centers of the province Novhorod- Siversky and Nizhyn during the 20s of the 19th c. we are witnessing several attempts to create educational institutions. All these attempts were unsuccessful and short-lived. The main reasons for educational failures were the presence of centers of womenʼs education in neighboring provincial centers, and above all, the lack of a significant need for this form of education.
