In the article "The Messianic Ideology in "The Book of Polish People and
Polish Pilgrimage" by Adam Mickiewicz, "Books of Ukrainian People
Existence" by Mykola Kostomarov, and "The Three Years" cycle by Taras
Shevchenko" the author recruits the comparative methodology to analyze the
problem of genetic relationship of these texts. The messianic idea is considered
to be the core of the texts of the Polish and the Ukrainian authors as the
essential trait of Slavic history in general and romantic aesthetics in
particular.
