dc.description.abstractУчасть – невід'ємне право кожної дитини, а також інструмент для реалізації прав і забезпечення найкращих інтересів дітей. За даними досліджень, участь має численні позитивні наслідки для дітей, особливо тих, хто позбавлений батьківського піклування та дітей-сиріт. Метою дипломної роботи є описати зміст та практику участі дітей-сиріт і дітей, позбавлених батьківського піклування, які перебувають в альтернативних формах сімейного виховання, у прийнятті рішень. У рамках дослідження було проведено 25 напівструктурованих інтерв'ю та вивчено 3 випадки дитячих будинків сімейного типу. Також аналіз ґрунтується на 22 відповідях дітей, які заповнили анкету “Участь та підлітків в прийнятті рішень”. Дані аналізувалися з використанням тематичного та крос-кейс аналізу. Результати дослідження свідчать про те, що діти, батьки-вихователі та соціальні працівники мають подібне розуміння участі дітей в прийнятті рішень, що стосується збору інформації від дитини та надання їй права вибору. Жоден респондент не визначив участь як невід’ємне право дитини. Було також встановлено, що участь важлива для дітей, позбавлених батьківського піклування, та дітей-сиріт для підвищення самооцінки та впевненості в собі, розвитку навичок прийняття рішень та підготовки до успішного самостійного життя. Ключову роль в реалізації права дитини на участь грають батьки, які, в тому числі можуть обмежувати її з тих чи інших причин. Також аналіз виявив ряд бар'єрів для участі дітей, таких як надмірне навантаження соціальних працівників, нестача персоналу, робота з документацією, модель дитячого будинку сімейного типу як така, а також фактори, що призводять до ефективної участі, такі як довірливі стосунки між дітьми та дорослими.uk_UA
dc.description.abstractParticipation is an inherent right of every child and also the tool for achieving the realization of children’s rights and best interests. According to several foreign researches, this practice positively influences children’s lives especially those who are deprived of parental care and orphaned children. The diploma thesis aim is to describe the practice and content of children’s participation in the decision-making process in foster care. As part of the study, 25 semi-structured interviews and 3 case studies of foster care families were conducted. Also, analysis is based on 22 looked-after children’s responses Child and adolescent participation in decision-making questionnaire (CAP–DMQ). The data were analysed using a thematic and cross case analysis process. The results of the study show that children, foster parents and social workers have a similar understanding of children's participation in decision-making regarding the hearing or gathering information from the children and giving them the right to choose. None of the respondents identified participation as an inalienable right of the child. Also, the results suggest that participation is important for children deprived parental care and orphaned children to increase self-esteem and self-confidence, for developing decision-making skills and preparing for successful independent life. Parents play a key role in the realization of the child's right to participate, who may in some cases restrict children’s participation. Also, the analysis identified a number of barriers for children’s participation such as excessive workload of social workers, lack of staff, work with documentation, model of family-type children’s home and also factors that lead to effective participation such as trusting relationships between children and adults.en_US
