| dc.description.abstract | In 1948 art critic and archaeologist Mariya Vyazmitina became the new employee of the Scythian and Classic Archaeology Department of the Institute of Archaeology. She is assigned to Scythian art, Scythian animal style. In order to work with the materials and texts she had visited Leningrad. Her work "The Art of Scythia" has remained unpublished and kept in the Scientific Archive of the Institute of Archaeology although the manuscript is an important scientific work. It appears in the interesting context of the new leadership of the Scythian and Classic Archaeology Department where Dr. Lazar Slavin and Iryna Fabritsius were replaced with Prof. Oleksii Terenozhkin. | en_US |
