Abstract
The collective monograph is devoted to the study of Ukrainian-Jewish cultural dialogue and mutual perception through the prism of imagology and literary studies. Using a wide range of historical and literary material — from medieval apocrypha and classical literature (T. Shevchenko, I. Franko, Lesya Ukrainka) to modernism (I. Eisenshtok, O. Granakh, L. Pervomaysky) and contemporary prose (J. S. Foer, O. Zabuzhko, S. Andrukhovych) — the authors analyze the evolution of the form of the "Other". Literature is considered as a "mirror" that creates cultural memory, transforms stereotypes and allows us to comprehend our own identity through the knowledge of our neighbor.
