dc.descriptionThe article reconstructs M. Gogol’s long mastery of artistic and literary works in the satirical weekly "Caricature". Pieces published in the journal became an important component of developing the description of the "Parisian" ball procession in the city of N in the eighth chapter of the poem "Dead Souls". In this reconstruction, for each painting, literary essay, or poetry, a corresponding artistic continuation was established in the descriptions of individual scenes of the Parisian ball of the city of N and their compositional role: the ability to reflect the changes of positive and inspired friendliness of the ball community and the ball hero to mutual anger and condemnation. The article reveals the significance of the question of the hero’s status in the description of the Parisian balls’ random troubles from the essay "Excerpt from a letter to the province" and the significance of E. Deveria’s paintings in M. Gogol’s selection of the two main dimensions of ball descriptions. The first is a public demonstration of mastery of the female ball community with the subtleties of adorning female beauty with clothing. The second consists of pictures of the female beauty radiance without adornments, which the hero’s gaze captures in the governor’s daughter. The article shows how the description of the course of the ball with the growing mutual disrespect of the ball community and the hero culminates in the hero’s announcement of the accusation of the ball, which is easily transferred from the image of the actual price of female beauty in the painting "Monsignor Budget and Mademoiselle Skrynka walking in the Tuileries". The article reveals the achievements of the compositional unification of the scenes of the ball procession as a retelling of the hero’s "disappointing story of the gaze", which comes from Gogol’s "renaming" of the content of the essay "Neighbors" by O. de Balzac.en_US
dc.description.abstractУ статті побудовано реконструкцію тривалого опанування М. Гоголем художніх і літературних творів паризького сатиричного тижневика "Карикатура" ("La Caricature"), які стали важливими елементами розвитку опису "паризького" балу губернського міста N. у восьмій главі "Мертвих душ". У статті описані художні "продовження" картин, нарисів та поезій з тижневика "Карикатура" в описах окремих сцен "паризького" балу міста N. та їхнього композиційного об’єднання через здатність відображати зміну позитивної і натхненної приязні спільнот балу і героя на обурення та взаємний осуд. У статті розкриваються композиційні наслідки опанування М. Гоголем уваги до статусу героя в описі випадкових неприємностей балів Парижа з нарису "Уривок з листа в провінцію" та уваги до картин французького художника і літографа А. Деверіа в обранні двох головних "жіночих" вимірів описів балу. Перший вимір торкається публічної демонстрації в описах балу володіння тонкощами прикрашання вбранням жіночої вроди. Другий вимір торкається особливого виділення епізодів сяяння жіночої вроди без прикрас, які особливо виокремлюють деталі схоплення поглядом героя сяючої краси доньки губернатора міста N. У статті показано як опис ходи балу в напрямку кінця взаємної поваги і приязні спільнот балу та героя увінчує проголошення героєм звинувачення балу, яке озвучує зображення реальної ціни жіночої краси у карикатурі "Месьє Бюджет і мадемуазель Скарбничка на прогулянці в Тюїльрі". У статті розкрито вкрай важливий авторський здобуток композиційного об’єднанні сцен балу, який стає інтегрованим описом відповідних сцен балу як послідовних подій з категорії "невтішної історії погляду", яка мала, як показано у статті, за виток свого походження своєрідне художнє "перейменування" Гоголем змісту нарису О. де Бальзака "Сусіди".uk_UA
