The paper is the publication of materials from the Upper Paleolithic site of Zhukiv III in Ternopil region and the prospects for research into the Paleolithic of the region. The Zhukiv III site is located near the flint deposit on the high terrace of the Zolota Lypa River above the Zhukiv village, Ternopil region. Numerous cores and flint processing waste give reason to consider the site a flint processing workshop. The site collection of flint artifacts includes 1,360 specimens, including 70 retouched tools. The flint products are small, covered with white and blue patina. One-plane, sometimes pyramidal cores dominate. A little less two-plane cores. There are many flint blades of the Upper Paleolithic forms. Most end scrapers are of short proportions. Burens are made on blades, mostly side retouches. The flint inventory of the Zhukiv III site has direct parallels in the materials from the upper layers of the Molodove V site (layers 1, 1a), which were attributed by the researcher of the multi-layered site O. Chernysh to the Molodovian phase of the Early Mesolithic of the Carpathian region, later renamed the Late Molodovian culture of the Final Paleolithic of Transnistria. Nowadays, similar materials are associated with the late Epigravetian stage of the development of Gravetian traditions in western Ukraine and dated to the Final Paleolithic. The Molodov cultural tradition is a local manifestation of the Gravettian techno-complex that developed in the Upper Paleolithic of Europe from 30 to 12 thousand years ago. The Late Epigravetian phase, to which the Zhukiv III site probably belongs, dates from 19,000 to 12,000 years ago. In addition to the site-workshop Zhukiv III in the vicinity of the Zhukiv village are known more than 10 sites with Upper Paleolithic flint artifacts. All of them are located on high terraces above the Zolota Lipa River. A cluster of Upper Paleolithic sites near the Zhukiv village in Ternopil regin is promising for further archaeological research.
