dc.descriptionPrevalence of smokeless tobacco (ST) use in Russia was assessed with the data of Global Youth Tobacco Survey and Global Health Professions Student Survey. Last month ST use was reported by 4,9% male and 2,4% female 13-15 year old adolescents and 3,5% male and 1,8% female medical students. ST use was associated with ever and current smoking cigarettes, smoking cigars and cigarillos, pipes, waterpipes, as well as with negative attitude towards the tobacco control measures. ST use does not increase the likelihood of quitting daily smoking. Russia has achieved the level of ST use typical for the countries with traditionally high ST use, which requires urgent regulatory measures including total ban of production and import of ST.ru_RU
dc.description.abstractПроведена оценка распространенности потребления бездымного табака (БТ) среди подростков и молодежи в России по данным глобального опроса молодежи о потреблении табака и глобального опроса студентов медицинских специальностей. О потреблении БТ в течение последнего месяца среди подростков 13-15 лет сообщили 4,9% юношей и 2,4% девушек, среди студентов медицинского вуза - 3,5% юношей и 1,8% девушек. Потребление БТ сопряжено с курением разнообразных табачных изделий, а также с негативным отношением к мерам контроля над табаком. Потребление бездымного табака не повышает шансы отказа от курения. В России достигнут уровень потребления, характерный для стран с традиционно высоким потреблением БТ, что требует срочных мер регулирования, включая полный запрет производства и импорта изделий БТ.ru_RU
