Abstract
The expansion of the methodological approach in ecology to economic, political, and administrative sciences is considered; the practices of the extended use of the concept of "ecosystem" are critically analysed; a possible definition of the concept of "public policy ecosystem" is proposed; the structure of this ecosystem is outlined; the methods (models) of its functioning are described; the application of this approach to some specific areas of public policy is considered.
