dc.descriptionThis article provides a conceptual analysis of the word collocation model of neutrality aimed at identification of cognitive distortions in it, through which political manipulation is carried out in cases where Ukraine is confronted with the requirements of the so-called "models of neutrality" on the example of specific countries. The meaning of the concept of model is clarified in the article with the help of Ukrainian, English, German, Danish and Swedish dictionaries. It is followed by an analysis of cases of neutrality of countries that either were once neutral (Belgium) or formally still have a status of neutrality (Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Finland). The analysis shows that in cases where a "model of neutrality" is mentioned in relation to Ukraine on the example of a particular country, the cognitive error lies in the false assumption that the format of neutrality or its practical components that have been operating for some time in a country can also be applied to other countries in isolation from the historical and political context of their formation. At the same time, the manipulative substitution lies in the fact that the empirical example of a real country with its peculiarities of the status of neutrality is accepted as an abstract formula, which can be transferred to a completely different experience. The article shows that in the case of each country, neutrality is very different: from the armed neutrality of Switzerland to the militarized neutrality of Sweden. Different studies with the focus on neutrality as a component of national identities in Sweden and Finland illustrate the striking difference in perceptions of neutrality by the populations at the deep level of identity. The political elites of Sweden and Finland of the second half of the XX century understood that in case of war their countries will not be able to maintain neutrality. Austria’s neutrality, by historical analogy, should be applied to the future status of Belarus. The key components of the political manipulation is a conceptual distortion of the very understanding of the concept of model and replacement of it with an empirical example, without taking into account the historical context of formation and the actual state of neutrality of countries that once were or formally still remain neutral.en_US
dc.description.abstractСтаття присвячена концептуальному аналізу словосполучення модель нейтралітету з метою виявлення в ньому когнітивних викривлень, за допомогою яких здійснюється політичне маніпулювання в тих випадках, коли Україні нав’язують т.з. "моделі нейтралітету" на прикладі конкретних країн. Значення поняття модель з’ясовується у статті за допомогою тлумачних словників української, англійської, німецької, данської та шведської мов. Далі розглядаються конкретні випадки нейтралітету країн, які або колись були нейтральними (Бельгія), або формально все ще мають той чи інший статус нейтралітету (Австрія, Швейцарія, Швеція, Фінляндія). Проведений аналіз показує, що у випадках, коли по відношенню до України згадується якась "модель нейтралітету" на прикладі конкретної країни, когнітивна помилка криється в хибному припущенні про те, що формат нейтралітету чи практичні його складники, які функціонують впродовж певного часу в якійсь країні, можна не лише розглядати як приклад, але й застосувати до інших країн відірвано від історичного й політичного контексту їх формування. При цьому маніпулятивна підміна криється саме в тому, що емпіричний приклад реальної країни з її особливостями статусу нейтралітету приймається як абстрактна формула, яка ніби може бути перенесена на абсолютно інший досвід. У статті показано, що у випадку кожної країни нейтралітет має дуже різний характер: від "озброєного нейтралітету" Швейцарії до "мілітаризованої нейтральності" Швеції. Проаналізовані дослідження, які присвячені нейтралітету як складовому національних ідентичностей у Швеції та Фінляндії, ілюструють разючу відмінність між сприйняттями нейтралітету населенням на глибинному рівні ідентичності. Матеріал розглянутих досліджень скандинавських науковців вказує на розуміння політичними елітами Швеції та Фінляндії другої половини ХХ ст., що під час війни зберегти нейтралітет їхнім країнам не вдасться. Натомість нейтралітет Австрії, за історичною аналогією, радше стосується майбутнього Білорусі. Стаття доводить, що ключовий спосіб політичної маніпуляції полягає у концептуальному викривленні самого розуміння поняття модель і заміни його емпіричним прикладом, без урахування історичного контексту становлення і фактичного стану нейтралітету країн, які були або формально зараз залишаються нейтральними.uk_UA
