dc.descriptionDuring the period of independence, starting in 1991, significant changes occurred in Ukrainian ethnology. They were a direct consequence of a 30-year debate between supporters of different versions of Ukrainian genesis (early mediaeval, Kyivan Rus, late mediaeval, Trypillia), which sometimes took place in a rather acute form. In particular, amateur fantastic "concepts" about the origin of Ukrainians from various prehistoric ancestors - Trypilians, Aryans, etc. - were left on margins. The Soviet ideologeme of the ancient "Old Rus nationality", which was the basis of the official USSR late mediaeval version of the origin of the East Slavic peoples, including the Ukrainians, disappeared. It was replaced by the early mediaeval concept of Ukrainian genesis, initiated by M. Hrushevskyi and developed by several generations of Ukrainian historians, ethnologists, linguists, and archaeologists, which corresponds to the regularities of the ethno-historical development of the peoples of the middle part of Europe during the Middle Ages, New and Modern times. The article deals with some vicissitudes of the before mentioned "thirty-year war" of Ukrainian ethnologists for the protection and affirmation of the verified early mediaeval concept of the origin of the Ukrainian people in the consciousness of Ukrainian society. Special attention is paid to the substantiation of the universal principles of the ethnogenesis of the peoples of the middle part of Europe, which are the basis of the mentioned version of Ukrainian genesis. Unfortunately, in modern Ukrainian historiography, this ethnological theme is not always understood objectively. Thus, in the fundamental research of K. Ivangorodskyi, dedicated to the problem of the ethnogenesis of the Eastern Slavs, there was no place to state these important shifts in the problem of Ukrainian genesis that took place in Ukraine during the period of independence with the active participation of employees of the Department of Ukrainian Ethnology of the Research Institute of Ukrainian Studies of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Ukraine . Thanks to to their scientific and popular scientific works, the early mediaeval concept of the origin of Ukrainians became dominant in the scientific and social space of Ukraine.en_US
dc.description.abstractЗа доби незалежності України, а саме з 1991 р., в українській етнології сталися суттєві зрушення. Вони були прямим наслідком 30-літньої дискусії між прибічниками різних версій україногенези (ранньосередньовічної, києворуської, пізньосередньовічної, трипільської), яка часом протікала в досить гострій формі. Зокрема, на дальньому марґінесі опинилися аматорські фантастичні "концепції" про походження українців від різних доісторичних пращурів – трипільців, арійців тощо. Пішла в небуття радянська ідеологема "давньоруська народність", що була основою офіційної в СРСР пізньосередньовічної версії походження східнослов’янських народів, зокрема й українців. Їй на зміну прийшла започаткована М. Грушевським і розроблена кількома поколіннями українських істориків, етнологів, лінгвістів, археологів ранньосередньовічна концепція україногенези, яка відповідає закономірностям етноісторичного розвитку народів середньої смуги Європи за доби середньовіччя, Нового та Новітнього часів. Стаття присвячена перипетіям згаданої "тридцятилітньої війни" українських етнологів щодо захисту й утвердження верифікованої ранньосередньовічної концепції походження українського народу в свідомості українського суспільства. Особлива увага приділена обґрунтуванню універсальних принципів етногенези народів середньої смуги Європи, що лежать в основі зазначеної версії україногенези. На жаль, у сучасній українській історіографії ця етнологічна тематика осмислюється не завжди об’єктивно. Так, у фундаментальному дослідженні К. Івангородського, присвяченому проблемі етногенези східних слов’ян, не знайшлося місця для констатації цих важливих зрушень у проблематиці україногенези, що сталися в Україні за доби незалежності за активною участю співробітників відділу української етнології Науково-дослідного інституту українознавства МОН України. Саме завдяки їхнім науковим і науково-популярним напрацюванням ранньосередньовічна концепція походження українців стала домінуючою у науковому й суспільному просторі України.uk_UA
