dc.descriptionThe article aims to enlighten basic concepts of phenomenological methodology of Max Scheler (1874–1928). It represents the idea of immediate cognition of essences as a constitutive principle of Scheler’s phenomenology: the concept of eidetic intuition defines the ambition of phenomenology towards absolute knowledge and determines other methodological ideas of Scheler. It is shown that Scheler’s idea of essential cognition constitutes the notion of phenomenological experience as an immanent and asymbolic apprehension of invariable eidetic content which forms the only legitimate subject of phenomenology. To show the peculiarity of phenomenological experience, the article represents the ideas of natural and scientific cognition as a relative and contingent experience. The notion of essence, which indicates the subject of phenomenological experience, is examined in a connection to the concepts of the “order of foundation”, “a priori”, and the correlation of material and formal elements in cognition: on the basis of these concepts, the idea of essence is presented as a source of absolute strictness and adequacy of phenomenological insights. Besides, it is focused on the specific ontological status of essences as fundamentally different from the character of inductive generalities and empirical facts. Consequently, the article presents Scheler’s teaching on moral presuppositions which are needed to overcome the limits of natural worldview and grasp the pure content of essences: love of the absolute, self-mastery and selfhumbling are necessary to surmount the natural egocentrism, vitalism, and anthropologism. Finally, the article considers peculiarities of Scheler’s concept of phenomenological reduction as an “inner technique” which seeks for ascetic overcoming of “life urge” to disclose the sphere of absolute being – the domain of phenomenology. The article includes introduction, six main subsections, and conclusion.en
dc.description.abstractСтаттю присвячено висвітленню основних положень феноменологічної методології Макса Шелера (1874–1928). Як конститутивний принцип феноменології Шелера представлено настанову на безпосереднє споглядання сутностей, котра визначає абсолютистські зазіхання феноменології і, відповідно, фундує інші методологічні концепції Шелера. З огляду на вчення про споглядання сутностей розкрито зміст категорії феноменологічного досвіду як іманентного й асимволічного пізнання інваріантних ейдетичних змістів, а також окреслено співвідношення феноменологічного досвіду і природного й наукового пізнання. Категорія сутності, що позначує предмет феноменологічного досвіду, розглянута у зв’язку із вченнями про "порядок фундування", "a priori" і співвідношення формального й матеріального, котрі покликані прояснити статус сутності як гаранта абсолютної строгості й адекватності феноменологічних убачань. Крім того, представлено Шелерове вчення про моральні передумови пізнання сутностей, а також з’ясовано особливості вчення про феноменологічну редукцію як аскетичного приборкання "життєвого пориву", що має на меті розкриття сфери абсолютного буття. Зміст статті включає вступ, шість тематичних підрозділів і узагальнення основних положень.uk
