Abstract
My acquaintance with Professor Paul Robert Magocsi initially took place indirectly within the walls of the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. Fifteen years ago, I was working on and cataloging the archival collection of the renowned scholar Omeljan Pritsak. Professor Pritsak, who greatly valued written sources in his scholarly work, preserved a vast number of documents in his archive, including materials from the Ukrainian Research Institute at Harvard University, as well as correspondence with his students and colleagues who, alongside him, helped establish what is now a globally recognized center for Ukrainian Studies more than half a century ago.
