Abstract
The purpose of the research was to test the hypothesis that the change of South Korea’s role identity vis-a-vis Japan during the Presidency of Yoon Suk-Yeol (2022-2023) is rather facilitated by the exogenous factors such as common threats and interdependence than driven by the domestic change of attitudes towards Japan on the grassroots level.
