dc.descriptionThe article deals with ecclesiastical and political concept of metropolitan Petro Mohyla, retraced in the St. Sophia monumental complex. It was reflected in: founder inscription of the metropolitan, in the grand prince portrait, renewed by him, in the consecration of northern altar and the concept of the chapel incorporated in the northern gallery. The Mohyla concept proved the key role of Volodymyr the Baptizer as a founder of the Ukrainian Orthodoxy.en

Втілена у ктиторському написі митрополита, поновленому ним княжому портреті, присвяті північного вівтаря і призначенні суміжної з ним каплиці, вбудованої у північну галерею, могилянська концепція засвідчила стрижневу роль образу Володимира Хрестителя як фундатора українського православ 'я.uk
