dc.description.abstractW artykule omowiono osobliwosci interpretacji Ksiqgi Koheleta i zawartego w niej glownego motywu przewodniego "wszystko mamosc" w literaturze ukrainskiej okresu baroku i lat 60-80-ych XX wieku, (na przykladzie tworczosci O. Ilczenka, W. Drozda, W. Szewczuka, ktorych maniere stylistyczna nazywa sie "proza chimeryczna"). Podkreslany jest fskt, ze aktualizacja motywu vanitas (od lac. powiedzenia "vanitas vanitatum et omnia vanitas" - "mamosc nad mamosciami i wszystko mamosc") odbywa sie; sinusoidalnie, podobnie jak zmiany epok kulturowo-stylowych, w okresach, zabarwionych przez kryzysy w postrzeganiu swiata, co jest charakterystyczne dla wszystkich stylow typu nierealistycznego. Zwraca sie uwage na to, ze do procesu transformacji tego motywu wnosza swoje korekty przeslanki i czynniki filozoficzno-estetyczne, stylistyczne, artystyczne, religijne i spotecznohistoryczne.pl_PL
dc.description.abstractAccording to C. Jaspers, a book by Jerusalem preacher Koheleth (Greek Ecclesiastes), written around the 3rd century BC, can be regarded as a work of the "axial epoch" (8th- 3rd centuries BC), characterized by the appearance of the human being as an individual, one’s self-realization and self-restraint, search for identity, appearance of spiritual struggle as following the inviolability of the foundations of the epoch of myth and philosophical understanding of the historical development. In such a way the actualization of the motif of vanity (from the Latin "vanitas, vanitatum, et omnia vanitas") takes place in a wave-like manner similar to the corresponding changes in those times cultural epoch, marked by outlook crises as characteristic to all the non-realistic style types. Of course, the process of this motif`s transformation was influenced by correctives suggested by philosophical-aesthetic, stylistic, artistic, religious, and social-historical prerequisites and factors. The interpretation of the book of Ecclesiastes in the Ukrainian cultural consciousness is very often associated with the baroque heritage. The Ukrainian baroque thought was centered on the main leitmotif of the Book of Ecclesiastes: "Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity" (ECC 1:2), placing it into the core of the baroque picture of the world. The vanity motif is connected with such existentially significant topics of Ukrainian literary baroque, as "journey", "road", "death", "theatre", "mirror", "shadow", "wheel", "fortune", "book", "mask", etc., actualized in the next centuries during periods of affinity to the baroque culture. Perhaps, it is the individual pessimism of the Book of Ecclesiastes from where existentialist philosophy emerged, the echo of which - along with that of the vanity motif - is heard in Ukrainian writings of the 1960s - 1980s, especially by the authors whose stylistic manner came to be termed as "chimerical prose". Among the aforesaid writers O. Il’chenko, V Drozd, and V. Shevchuk are worthy mentioning, and it is their prose which style and creative manner are analyzed in the article.en_US
