dc.descriptionThe Crimean Khanate under Ottoman protection occupied Crimean peninsula and steppe between Danube and Kuban rivers from the 15th till late 18th century bordering with the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and the Cossacks of Zaporizhia. These areas became a target for expansion of Muscovy: newly created Russian Empire after 1721 ensured its conquest with fortifications and invited Balkan military settlers to the so-called Novoserbia and Slavianoserbia aiming at counterbalancing the Cossack population. The article overviews stages of colonization of this territory over the 18th–19th centuries as well as their impact on the ethnical composition of the population up to the beginning of the 21st century.en_US
dc.description.abstractКримський ханат під османським протекторатом займав територію Кримського півострова і степів між Дунаєм і Кубанню від XV до кінця XVIII ст., межуючи з Річчю Посполитою та з козацьким Запорожжям. У XVIII ст. ці терени стали об’єктом експансії Московії: новостворена Російська імперія зміцнила загарбання фортецями і запросила з Балкан військових поселенців до так званих Новосербії та Слов’яносербії з метою противаги козацтву. У статті розглянуто етапи колонізації цих теренів протягом XVIII–XIX ст., а також те, в який спосіб вони відобразилися на етнічному складі населення до початку XXI ст.uk_UA
