dc.description.abstractУ статті проаналізовано лексичний і семантичний склад мікрополя "devotion", а також його структурно-семантичну організацію в англійській мові. Виявлено, що досліджуване мікрополе має тісні зв’язки з концептом "любов". Компоненти значення, що функціонують у мікрополі, відбивають семантику відданості, вірності, прихильності, прив’язаності, захоплення, поклоніння об’єкту почуття, котрим для лексико- семантичного поля "patriotism" виступають Батьківщина, власний народ, його закони, традиції, історія тощо.uk_UA
dc.description.abstractThe article deals with the semantic microfield "devotion", which is one of the most important microfields at the structure of the lexical-semantic field of "patriotism". It is confirmed by the use of the seme "devotion" in lexicographical interpretation of the word patriotism. The main aim of the article is to study the structural-semantic organization of the microfield "devotion" in the structure of lexical-semantic field "patriotism" in English language. The following tasks were set to achieve this aim: to identify the lexems, forming the semantic microfield "devotion" in English language; to decompose their meanings into the minimum semantic components; to reveal the semantic relationships with other microfields at the lexical-semantic field "patriotism". The object of the study is the structural-semantic organization of the microfield "devotion". It was found, that the semantic microfield «devotion» contains such lexemes as devotion, patriotism, love, devotedness, devoutness, dedication, veneration, loyalty, fealty, troth, fidelity, allegiance, attachment, sympathy, constancy, steadfastness, staunchness, adherence, adhesion, faithfulness, faith, worship, cult, idolatry, piety, altruism, passion. The objects of devotion for the lexical-semantic field of "patriotism" are somebodies Motherland, his or her nation, its laws, traditions, history, etc. Devotion is associated with the concept of love and has some semantic connections with the microfields "sympathy", "support" and "passion". Further study of the structural-semantic organization of the lexical-semantic field "patriotism" should consider this relationship and look for crossings of the microfield "devotion" with other microfields that are realizing through peripheral components of meaning of the analyzed lexemes.en_US
