Abstract
In the article the contrasting analysis of one of the determinative social and cultural anthropological concepts - the concept of woman - is done. For this purpose two outstanding novels «Maria» and «С^аіукщи» by Ukrainian and Turkish famous writers Ulas Samcuk and Rusat Giintekin are compared.
