Abstract
The purpose of this article is to analyze major causes and effects of France’s political involvement in the revolutionary events having transpired in Libya in 2011. Both geopolitical and geoeconomic consequences of the French intervention shall be subject to inquiry here, with due attention towards the wider perspective of contemporary French foreign policy in the North African region.
