Дослідження присвячене вивченню лінгвокультурологічних характеристик семантики фразеологізмів з компонентами-назвами метрологічних одиниць в англійській, французькій та українських мовах і засоби їх перекладу українською мовою. Вивчення фразеологічних одиниць є одним з основних кроків до розуміння специфіки певної мови, особливостей менталітету представників певної лінгвоспільноти. Особливо актуальним видається дослідження фразеологізмів з метронімним компонентом у кількох мовах, їх порівняння, способи перекладу образності та виявлення аналогів в інших мовах. Дослідження одиниць виміру у трьох мовах різних мовних груп має особливе теоретичне значення та практичну цінність, зокрема для теорії і практики перекладу фразем, стійких порівнянь, прислів’їв, приказок та ін..
The research is devoted to the study of linguistic and cultural characteristics of the
phraseology semantics with components-names of metrological units in English, French and
Ukrainian languages and means of their translation into Ukrainian. The study of phraseological
units is one of the main steps to understanding the specifics of a particular language, the
peculiarities of the mentality of members of a particular linguistic community. Especially relevant
is the study of phraseology with a metronymic component in several languages, their comparison,
methods of translating imagery and identifying analogues in other languages. The study of units
of measurement in three languages of different language groups has a special theoretical
significance and practical value, in particular for the theory and practice of translation of phrases,
stable comparisons, proverbs, sayings, etc.
