Abstract:
It is difficult to overestimate the whole contribution of epic poem Kalevala to Finnish culture and word literature. This work of art represents the raw and unbridled archaic world, which full of miracles, primes, anger and love. All the twists and turns are being implemented to the territory of two lands: Kalevala and Pohjola. The analysis of the text recovers that Kalevala was not constructed on the flat surface but is explodes on the multiplicity of worlds which builds a complex Universe. This Universe signifies by different types of fictional spaces, motives, characters, and even the trajectory of movement of these characters. The article studies and analyzes a significance of the space in Kalevala epic poem and investigates functional range of multiple spaces in it.
