Abstract
Матеріали Міжнародної науково-практичної конференції "Геологічне, гідрологічне та біологічне різноманіття Полісся"до 130-річчя від дня народження видатного польського дослідника Полісся Станіслава Малковського та у рамках проведення Водного форуму до 105-річчя НУВГП, 13 жовтня 2020 р.
The article presents the results of the amber samples with plant residues inclusions analysis from the Ukrainian Polissia. There are mainly particles of bark, branches, leaves, needles, spores, pollen, lichens, mosses, rarely – fruits, flowers in amber. The following representatives of the Eocene forest were identified: clownfish, heather, thuja, moss, roots of epiphytic plants. The description of certain plants is given according to the following plan: name of the species, biomorphological characteristics, climate, edaphotope, coenotope, range of the species and its distribution in Ukraine. These plants are characteristic of wet and moist forestmeadow ecotopes with uniform stable moistening of the root layer of the soil by groundwater and partially surface water. Plants are an element of semi-shady or shaded pine, mixed forests, peat bogs. The presence of H2S hydrogen sulfide, which manifested itself in the pyritization of sediments, wood residues and cones, indicates the waterlogging of such forests. Such forests grow on acidic, not rich in salt and depleted of mineral nitrogen and carbonate soils. The presence of these plants allows us to conclude that in the Western Polissia of Ukraine in the Eocene period grew swampy shady forests with freshwater lakes, floodplains and swamps. Certain elements of this flora have survived almost unchanged. Thus, there is a significant influence of Eocene flora on the modern flora of Polissia.
