dc.description.abstract Tarik Cyril Amar’s review "Politics, Starvation, and Memory" of Anne Applebaum’s Red Famine. Stalin’s War on Ukraine, a book about the Holodomor, was published in Kritika: Explorations in Russian and Eurasian History (vol. 20, no. 1, 2019). Applebaum’s Red Famine was published in Ukrainian by the Institute of History, National Academy of Sciences as Chervonyi holod. Viina Stalina proty Ukrainy. In December 2018, the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy awarded Applebaum an honorary doctorate at an evening to honor her long record of writing about Ukraine and her then new book Red Famine. en_US
