Abstract
У статті розглядаються погляди українського вченого, доктора
філософських наук, професора НаУКМА Сергія Геннадійовича Рябова (1954-2008) щодо сутності феномену громадянської освіти, її ролі в процесі
утвердження демократичних принципів та підвищення політичної культури
українського суспільства.
Громадянська освіта розуміється як один з основних засобів
формування громадянської культури, що в сучасній геополітичній ситуації
має будуватись не лише на основі національної культури і національних
цінностей, а й з урахуванням цивілізаційної спадщини людства, плюралізму,
прагнення до універсалізації демократичних норм та цінностей.
Це дослідження було проведено в рамках проекту "Рябівські читання",
метою якого є актуалізація, дослідження та переосмислення творчої
спадщини вченого.
The article examines the views of Ukrainian scientist, the doctor of Philosophical Sciences, the professor of the NaUKMA Sergiy Ryabov (1954-2008) on the essence of the phenomenon of civic education, its role in the process of the democratic principles establishing and the raising of the political culture of Ukrainian society. Civic education is understood as one of the main means of forming a civic culture that must be built not only on the basis of national culture and national values, but also taking into account the civilization heritage of mankind, pluralism, aspiration for the universalization of democratic norms and values in the modern geopolitical situation. The article substantiates the necessity of professional development and implementation of civic education in Ukraine, identifies the threats and obstacles on the way to creation of a comprehensive system of civic education. The article gives a brief description of civil society models in domestic and foreign literature. The direct link between the education of the values of civil society and the introduction of civic education is indicated. The concept of civicism in the works of S. Ryabov is described. The presented concepts of civic education were developed by the Institute of Civic Education of NaUKMA with the participation of Dr. S. Ryabov. This research was conducted within the framework of the "Ryabov Readings" project, which aims to update, research and rethink the creative heritage of the scientist.
