У статті розглядаються вотивні плитки так званого фракійського кола, що поширилися в Херсонесі
у ІІ-ІІІ cт. внаслідок тісних контактів з Нижнім Подунав'ям.
The votive plates of so-called Thracian origin are examineted in this article. They are usually quoted as an
exact illustration of Roman soldiers presence in Tavrica during the second - third quarter of HIth
century.
However, analysis of images on these memorials evidences that in Chersones the analogic form of devotion to
deities was used not only by Roman soldiers but also by Greek townspeople, the limestone fragment with reflection
of local goddess, the Virgin evidences it.
